A Midwestern kid with a Midwestern mindset, Austin joined Tinman Elite with a hunger to prove himself at the elite level. He took a chance on himself and made the move to Boulder after capping off a decorated career at Division II powerhouse, Augustana, with a runner-up finish in the 1,500m at the NCAA Division II Championships.

That decision to bet on himself is true to the roots of Tinman Elite, and he joins a list of many on our roster who made the sojourn to Boulder to prove themselves. Austin is looking forward to chasing big goals on the track, including qualifying for the U.S. 1,500m final, and maybe one day mustering up the courage to run a race longer than four laps.

Austin brings a team-first mindest, a consistent approach to training, and a considerable increase in horsepower to Tinman Elite.
